- You can find out which practices accept PatientFi by exploring Search.PatientFi.com or contacting customer support.
What do I need to apply?

You will need to find your provider on our website. Also, be ready to enter your personal information, including date of birth, last four digits of your SSN, and physical mailing address (no P.O. Boxes). Lastly, ensure that any "freeze" on your credit profile is lifted prior to applying.
How old do I need to be to apply?
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Residents in Alabama must be 19 years of age to apply.
Does the application impact my credit score?

The application is a soft inquiry that does not impact your credit score.
Can I apply with a co-borrower?

We do not accept Co-Borrower applications at this time.
Can Non-U.S. residents apply?

PatientFi is currently available to applicants who have a United States social security number or valid ITIN and you must have a US address. Also, due to certain lending laws, residents of New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are also ineligible to apply for PatientFi financing.

How do I know if I have been approved?

Once you complete your application, you will immediately know if you are approved and the approved amount.
Will I receive a physical card in the mail?
- No, we do not send physical cards.
How do I inform the practice of my approval?

The practice will be notified when you are approved. You can also reach out and share your account number and request that they send you a transaction if you are ready to accept.
How do I pick a payment plan?

You can choose your loan payment plan when reviewing and accepting a transaction. Before your provider sends you a transaction, you can use the [Payment Calculator] to preview the available payment options.
Can I use my approval with other practices?

Your approved spending limit can be used with any practice that has a relationship with PatientFi. Explore the search.PatientFi.com site to see what practices accept PatientFi.
Can I increase my approval amount?

An increase can be requested to your approved amount or spending limit every 30 days. This request can be made on your [PatientFi Portal].
Does my approval expire?

Your approved spending limit has an expiration of 120 days. If it expires, you can re-apply without impacting credit reporting negatively since we only do a soft inquiry.
Why was I not approved?

We consider several factors in a credit profile, including credit score, debt-to-income ratio, and payment history. We will email you in 48 hours with detailed information for the decision.
Can I appeal the denial?

A denial cannot be appealed, but you can re-apply in 30 days. Additionally, you can have someone like a partner or close family member apply and designate you as the *authorized patient
Payments
When is my payment due?

Your payment will be due 30 days after accepting a transaction. You can manage and view your payments by logging into your [Payment Portal]
Can I change my payment due date?

You can change your payment due date once per the lifetime of your loan. If you have a deferred interest promotional loan, you cannot change your due date as it will impact your promotional end date.

What payment methods can I use to make my payments?

You can use a debit card or ACH to make a payment. Please note that using prepaid or HSA/FSA will not work. Payments via check should be mailed to PO BOX 845073, Dallas, TX 75284-5073.
Can I merge two loans?

Loans cannot be combined or merged. We make an effort to align your existing payment due dates whenever possible.
Are there penalties if I pay off my loan early?

You can repay your loan early without worrying about prepayment penalties or fees.
